1.  Provide a list of the six comprehension strategies.

2.  Give each student 3 post-it notes.

3.  Choose a read aloud.

4.  Select three stopping points in the read aloud.

5.  At each stopping point, ask the students to jot down their thinking.

6.  Add the students’ post-it notes to your list of comprehension strategies and sort them.  (Wallwisher)

Willard North will be sharing how they are using technology in the classroom.  Many teachers and grade levels are implementing new technology in the classroom with the addition of iPads and iPods.  Teachers are able to add to the list of resources by submitting an app or they can find new apps by viewing the ideas from their colleagues.

Willard East:

Willard East will be learning how to integrate Study Island in the 2nd-4th Grade classrooms.  The K-1st Grade teachers will be learning how to use Google Docs and Google Forms for classroom management and assessment.  At the end of the day, teachers will be focusing on how to incorporate Rocketmath into their daily math routines.  The handouts are linked below:
